Adjectives
Adjectives are words that describe nouns. They can tell us about the size, shape, color, material, origin, quality, quantity, or condition of a noun.
For example:
The big cat is black.
The table is made of wood.
The Greek restaurant is delicious.
Adjectives can be single words, phrases, or clauses.
Single-word adjectives are the most common type of adjective. They are easy to identify because they come before the noun they describe.
English adjectives typically follow a specific order when used to describe a noun.
